Black Elk was a native American who practiced and taught us about Lakota Sioux ways of life. Black Elk had an amazing life and saw the ways of the tribes decimated by the white man. He was at Custer's Last Stand and Wounded Knee as well as a traveling member of Buffalo Bill's traveling Wild West show. The painting is paired with a beautiful wooden frame that has been painted and distressed to look weatherbeaten.
