Annie Oakley was a sharpshooter. She grew up in Ohio. That was inspiring to me. The Ohio was the country's frontier in the early 1800's, becoming the 17th state in the Union in 1803. She was born in 1860 during the terrible time of the Civil War. She eventually took her skills west and eventually joined Buffalo Bill's Wild West show and would shoot out the flame on a candle on the stage.
